“ No Papua New Guinea Prime Minister has ever addressed the West Papua issue publicly at United Nations Assembly or other forums.
For the first time Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape will go down on record as the first Prime Minister of PNG to bring up issues of West Papua at United Nation’s as indicated by NCD Governor Parkop here. When I first listen to the speech I did not see it clearly but thankyou Governor Parkop for the clarification that PMJM had the thought of our Melanesian brothers and sisters in Indonesia who might be facing human right violences.
I commended the leadership of PM Marape and continue to stay strong and putting PNGs and West Papuas Interest first.
