As the global support for Free West Papua campaign is widening, PNG's third largest city in the Highlands Region Mt Hagen is planning to host a solidarity MARCH in support of their Melanesian brothers and sisters on the Western part of the Island of New Guinea being tortured and their rights being grossly abused by authorities in Indonesia.
This is an initiative by the members of the Active City Development program established in the city.
This march will propel the momentum gained and support in the country.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Port Moresby is also planning to petition the United Nations Organization, European Union Embassy and Indonesian Embassy in the city to take leadership on the pressing issue in the region.
